SKIING
The ski resort of Les Contamines is renowned for the quality of its snow, its sunshine and the breath-taking panorama it offers on the Mont Blanc. It is part of the évasion Mont Blanc area, i.e., 445 km of slopes. This area is also linked to the ski resorts of Megève, Combloux, Saint-Gervais and Saint-Nicolas-de-Veroce. It also offers boarder cross tracks, snow park, 25 km of cross country trails that wind between the pine trees of the resort and grandiose ski touring routes.

PURE NATURE
In Les Contamines, pastures are surrounded by pine forests on which the peaks of the Mont Blanc chain look after. In summer, these peaks are adorned with their green mantle and flowers. From the village, you can start several walks of all levels. There are over 120 km of marked trails and landscapes, which are all different and grandiose. Moreover, the natural reserve of Les Contamines is the highest in France and has the largest height difference (2,800 m). It offers all facets of nature in the mountains and rises to the majestic glacier of Tré-La-Tête.

VACATION AT THE MOUNTAINS
The renowned site of Pontet park at the Contamines offers a wide range of activities for all ages: tennis (8 courts), golf driving range, 3 courses of tree climbing, archery and many more activities for children. For lovers of golf or for pleasure, you can play golf: 18 holes, in Megève (20 min) and Chamonix (45 min). Discover the Sea of ice by taking the tram Montenvers. Alternatively, you make “a step in the vacuum”, thrills guaranteed at the top of the Aiguille du Midi peak in Chamonix.

FEET IN WATER
You can also spend a day’s time by the waterfront on a sandy beach and enjoy relaxing moments. You can go swimming in the lake of the Pontet park (3km) or Lake biotope of Combloux (20 min). You can take a dip in the pool of Saint-Gervais (10 min) with a view on the mountains. If you are willing to discover a bit more afield, Lake Geneva (1h) and Lake Annecy (1h), with its beaches and crystal clear water, will surprise you.

AT FULL SPEED
Les Contamines is an ideal destination for trail. The village is an important stage for the race of the Ultra Trail of Mont-Blanc, which takes place each year in late August. A wide range of races are available. In summer, you can also slide on the amazing toboggans at Megève or Chamonix. Further, you can take the ski lifts of Les Contamines, and go down the hills on a mountain bike, between forests and pastures, from Saint-Gervais, Saint-Nicolas-de-Veroce or Megève (there are 6 trails with marked posts, and 1 trail with various equipments for bikes). For those who enjoy rock climbing in the wilderness, there is also a beautiful site climbing in Les Contamines. If you still have energy, you can undertake a mountain walk, and why not climbing the Mont Blanc?

ART AND CULTURE
The rich cultural and architectural heritage of the area offers some nice surprises: the baroque art, its traditional architecture, museums and other sights. Les Contamines is an important step in a journey that takes you into the Baroque history of the Mont Blanc region. You will discover the Church of Notre-Dame de la Gorge and its 14 chapels in Les Contamines, or one of the jewels of the Alpine Baroque art with the church of Saint-Nicolas-de-Veroce and its museum of sacred art.

Immerse yourself in a hot bath at a spa in Swedish park chalet (3km) in the middle of nature. Or enjoy the benefits of hydrotherapy at the thermal baths of Saint-Gervais (10 min) or the many spas in Megève (massages, treatments, etc.).
